Thank you for finding me and my psychiatric practice on the internet. I would like to use this website as a way to introduce myself and provide an overview of my treatment philosophy and services.
Role as a Psychiatrist
I am a psychiatrist who works with children, teenagers, adults and their families to help them with mental, emotional and behavioral challenges. As a psychiatrist, I employ both psychotherapy and psychiatric medication, when appropriate, to improve the functioning and happiness and alleviate the suffering of my patients. I am a general psychiatrist, meaning that I enjoy, and have experience, working with many different types of people on a wide range of issues.
Areas of Psychiatric Expertise
I see all ages with a particular emphasis on late adolescence and early and middle adulthood and the attendant age-related problems including struggles with family, relationships, school, career and the vicissitudes of life. In addition to treating common presenting psychiatric problems like impaired job performance, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, and ADHD, I have expertise in a number of specialty areas such as eating disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and child behavioral problems. Finally, I have a specific interest in psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing to help patients make positive, sustained changes.
My office is located in the Lower Highlands (LoHi) neighborhood of Denver. Currently, I am accepting new patients. The wait time for an initial session is approximately one to two weeks. I do not accept insurance, but would be happy to provide you with a bill that you can submit to your insurer for out-of-network benefits. If you have any inquiries, please contact me at 303-335-9334 or email@example.com.
